  Based on the goal of "giving back to society," the Yulon Group has established an array of non-profit foundations to conduct donations for public welfare. In addition, the Group participates in several activities, such as charitable outreach, environmental conservation, arts and culture education, and sports advocacy.

 

 

Yen Tjing Ling Industrial Development Foundation  
  This foundation was established in 1974. In the following year, the foundation set up an industrial research and development center in partnership with National Taiwan University. In addition, the foundation also associated with National Cheng Kung University in 1978 to establish an industrial technology research and development center. The center has become one of the key science and technology R&D bases in southern Taiwan. To date, the two centers have conducted over 3,000 research projects. Total expenditures on cooperative education programs and researches exceed NT$4.7 billion.

 

Yen Tjing Ling Medical Foundation  
  Established in 1978, this foundation provides funding to support overseas study of doctors recommended by the Taipei Veterans General Hospital and National Yang-Ming University. Through such support, the foundation encourages doctors to upgrade the academic and technical level of their medical treatments. Among the various related areas of medical treatment, this program has supported significant pioneering work in the areas of neural repair and neural regeneration.

 

Vivian Wu News Award Foundation  
  Established in 1986, this foundation invites impartial and objective scholars and journalism professionals to join the evaluation committee for the Vivian Wu Yen News Award. As one of the highest journalistic honors in Taiwan, the award has encouraged journalists to improve their professionalism over the years.

      Fundraising through rummage sales of aboriginal farm and specialty products, mobile health clinics, village renovation and prettification, and vehicle repair and maintenance training

      Accident insurance for Taipei City personnel engaged in environmental protection, mobile clinic vehicles, and disaster relief vehicles
    921 Disaster Relief --
      Relief funds, medicines, drinking water, sanitation items, and other goods and materials for victims of the earthquake on September 21, 1999
    SARS Prevention and Control --
      Donation of ambulances with negative air pressure and filter systems, protective equipment, and consolation funds for the families of medical personnel who lost their lives in the fight against SARS

      Park adoption, green sea turtle conservation, ecological monitoring, recycling, tree planting, highway slope beautification, and other initiatives

    Group Basketball Teams --
     

The Yulon Group organized the Yulon Men's Basketball Team in 1965. This was the first A-league team sponsored by a private enterprise in Taiwan. In 1973, the Group organized the Tai Yuen Women's Basketball Team. These two teams have contributed significantly to society by supporting the government's diplomatic efforts and popularizing sports.

    China Motor Cup International Marathon --
      This marathon has been sponsored by China Motor since 2001. The event attracts professional and amateur runners from around the world. In 2004, over 50,000 people participated in the race.
    China Motor Cup International Gymnastics Invitational --
      This competition has been held 11 times since its establishment in 1992. Many Olympic and World Cup gold-medallists have been invited to participate in the contests.
    2007 IDSF China Motor Cup Grand Slam Final & Taipei International Open --
      Top dancers of international standard and Latin dance were invited to participate in this contest, which attracted more than ten thousand spectators. The event highlighted Taiwan's strength in sport dancing and promoted diversity and richness of Taiwan's culture and customs.
